Every picture tells a story. Everybody has their own truth and perception and that makes the world a very interesting place in which to live, that is – if we’re not interested in making others conform to our perception. That’s control, and I don’t know about you but I’ve had enough of controlling people.
“I don’t like people telling me what to do, that’s why I became a grownup.” ~ Bob Newhart
In dreams, every symbol and archetype relates to an aspect of yourself unless it’s a prophetic dream. We hold meanings about things that are particular to ourselves, and as a collective population, we universally hold meaning about particular images and metaphor.
This DreamScape painting was featured in a talk I gave titled, Waking Up From the Nightmare, Painting the Dream Of Heaven. I offered a free DreamScape Reading to the one who came the closest to my interpretation and I loved to read everyone’s entries.
She has her “head in the clouds” but she is “on her toes.” She is in this world but not of it and connected to her divinity by relying on her intuition represented by the purple clouds and grounded symbolized with the red earth and also the color of the root chakra. She is also equipped with a male appendage – an androgynous, physical representation of the balance and integration of her masculine and feminine energies. DreamScapes can appear as crazy as night dreams.
Here is what some of the contestants wrote:
“Earth and Heaven. Divine touching ego. Accepting our ego as divine. Accepting and loving self and moving forward into what we truly are. Understanding that at no time is there a disconnection between love, heart, ego and Divine – it is only decided separation between fear based ego. This is entirely overcoming fear and accepting in all facets of existence. Purifying ego and flying into ascension.”
“I see a path based in love, which is pink. On the left there is a violet flower. On the right there is a white hill which is representative of obstacles. But the white is surrounded by pink which shows that obstacles will be overcome by love. The flower on the left which grows from love leads to a violet sky which represents connection with God, all that is, creation, inspiration. In the violet I see too hands extending from the right edge into the center of the picture. The hands are cupped and facing up which shows the support available in the state of mind of connectedness, connection with God. Also the hands are opened up to receive all goodness.”
“The emotions. The energy in motion that flows through our minds, our dreams, our lives.”
“Heaven and Hell merging with light”
“Dark clouds. Could they be a sign of coming doom? Peace is beyond them.”
“Red is passion, the foundational terrafirma with white light coming into it. The purple clouds are the creativity and wisdom whirling together, brewing and creating a new life.”
“A way out of the valley of the shadow of death.”
“An opening of the Divine Happiness of feminine expression, a creation birthing a new world and transformation.”
And the winner is…………….
“The top portion of the painting looked to me to be violet spiritual clouds that may have represented the higher vibrations like those of the crown chakra. These clouds seemed to eventually merge downward into the red area of the painting which to me could represent the base chakra or the physical plane. There is a formation that looked to be like a funnel cloud or tornado type opening that seemed to provide an avenue for the vibration of the violet higher vibration to reach the lower red vibration. To the right side of the painting I noticed a lighter area that to me could represent a place of high vibration of divinity that was right there in the picture available to see and access.
For me, the painting could represent the existence of higher spiritual vibration and the ability to connect with it from a place of lower vibration. Also, I could see the white area as showing that divinity exists and we just have to recognize it. To me the painting was a colorful example of showing how we can ascend our vibrations and connect to a higher realm of love.” – Dell Blackman
